A mostly plain-weave light soft thin fabric of silk, cotton, wool, or another fiber, usually with a crinkled or puckered surface with a soft mossy finish. Comes in different weights and degrees of sheerness and drapes well. Commonly used for dresses of all types, including long dinner dresses, suits, and coats.
