Ping Man Leather & Hand Bag Company Limited (hereinafter called "Ping Man") was found in 1933, when the artificial leather was still not yet appeared. The founder, Mr. H.C. Leung, started his business of manufacturing genuine leather products such as canvas bags and belts. In the early 1970's, ladies' accessories became very popular and occupied a lion's share in the fashion market of the USA. Ping Man, therefore, caught up with the trend and produced a variety of cane bags and cane cases.In 1974, Ping Man joined the business tour organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to attend a trade fair in Europe.
